“Eat, DC, Love – Uncover the Capital’s Culinary Secrets”

Origin Story

Welcome to Eat, DC, Love – your culinary compass in the heart of the Nation’s Capital. Our story begins with a foodie, a traveler, and a dream to share the joy of food with others. Our founder, a seasoned explorer with a deep love for cooking and discovering culinary delights from various regions and countries, started Eat, DC, Love. After participating in numerous food tours both domestically and internationally, she knew she wanted to share her passion for food with others. And what better place to do so than in the diverse and vibrant melting pot of Washington, DC?

The name Eat, DC, Love is inspired by one of her favorite books and movies, Eat, Pray, Love. Just as the protagonist in the story embarks on a journey of self-discovery and surrender, we invite our guests to surrender to the unique culinary journey that each of our tours offers.

Background in Industry

With a background as a tour guide, our founder spent years sharing her warm spirit with prospective students from all over the world. Her love for food and culture led her to take cooking classes as a hobby, refining her skills as a home chef and learning about different cultures through their cuisine. As an Ohio native, she founded 614 Eats, a blog providing restaurant suggestions and reviews, before relocating to Washington, DC.

Throughout her travels, she has participated in numerous food tours and cooking classes in regions with rich and booming food scenes, including Portugal, London, and Asheville, North Carolina. These experiences have shaped her understanding and appreciation of food, and she is excited to share the lessons she’s learned along her journey with you.

At Eat, DC, Love, we believe in the power of food to connect people, tell stories, and create memorable experiences. We invite you to join us on a tour and experience the joy of food, fellowship, and connection in the heart of Washington, DC.
